1️⃣ Decide your 5 focuses when posting online
Instead of focusing on just posting about your products, think of 4 other topics you can focus on when posting on social media. For me it is - boutique biz, my boutique, motivation, supporting/empowering women and lifestyle!
So if I'm rocking my Mystical Berries t-shirt, I don't always have to say things to sell it, I can simply share my message & tag my product. So when my tribe sees my post, it's not only just selling them the t-shirt but also telling them to kickass.
2️⃣ Hashtags
How many hashtags are you using? Your tribe hangs out on Instagram but if you NOT using the right hashtags, they'll never be able to find you. Use apps like hashtags, hashtag generator or Hashtag for Instagram to find your hashtags.
Break the 30 hashtags down into —
+ Visual i.e. What's in the pic!
+ Tribe - who are you targeting? bride to be? Wine lovers? Boss Moms?
+ Your focuses that we talked about in point 1.
Here’s a tip when researching hashtags - Don't just focus on #s with hugeeee following. So if you are only using #s with 1M or 100,000 followers, it'll be hard for your tribe to find you. Instead use a mix of small & medium #s and add upto 5 huge ones in the END.
3️⃣ Interact with others
One of the things I'm trying to do different this year has been to interact with people on social media. When you focusing on posting content what's going on in your mind? Do you focus on how many likes can I get or do you focus on increasing your brand awareness, connecting with your tribe & sharing infor?
Engaging on social media, commenting on Facebook posts or Instagram posts will also get your engagement up because that person who's post you left a comment on will surely come and check your profile too!
4️⃣ Use Scheduling Apps
Whether you are posting on facebook, instagram, Pinterest or twitter the only way to stay consistent & post when your tribe is online is by using scheduling apps like Buffer, Plann, Hootsuite, CoSchedule and more.
5️⃣ Collaborate
According to a survey 45% of people shop based on the reviews and feedback from social media influencers. When an influencer shares a post on their social media about their stylish new jeans, talking about how comfortable they are, their followers are often interested in learning more about the jeans & how they too can get their hands on them.
Find people to collaborate with. You can use apps like - Muses, Rep, Influence.co, Social Blade or HypeAuditor to find influencers.
⏭ BONUS TIP
Don't always focus on creating content all the time.
Curate & Capture Content to add variety.
Curate content is when you use content created by someone else to share on your social media. This can be in form of a blog or an article from another website that benefits your audience. Sharing something that compliments with your products & not compete with them.
Example - Sharing a website that talks about benefits of yoga if you sell athletic wear.
Capture is - When you capture the "behind the scene" scenarios or post a pic of you using your products.
