Ultimate Guide to Re-Building Your Online Boutique
We’ve all been there.. . . .
Fun ideas in our mind and dreams in our heart -- wanting to create our own products & watch people show them off & tagging us in posts! (Just thinking about it makes me smile!!!)
But somewhere between making our dreams come true, running a biz, managing a household, looking after the kids & the fur babies & maybe doing a job you lost the spark. You thought you could still hustle and DIY but honestly, it’s just getting exhausted especially since the holiday season ended.
You’ve reached a point where everything is so quiet and you find yourself wondering if it’s the calm before the madness or just a quiet time to play catch up! But with a mile long to-do list you have no idea where to start or what to tackle & no matter how much you re-visit you just can’t finish!
Should I check the inventory? Or work on my website? Maybe send that email to the customers asking for their feedback? Or You could even look into ordering new products? But then what about the old inventory? You still have that to get rid of!
Trust me! It’s not a good place to be but yet you often find yourself in there.
It’s time to Glow Up Your Boutique Babe. Take a step back & make the necessary improvements without the overwhelm, one step, 1 day at a time.
Here are 5 ways to Glow Up Your Boutique
Make a list - I don’t know about you, but I work better when I have a list to work through. Nothing beats the rush of accomplishing a task and checking it off the list. It keeps me motivated & moving forward. Make a list of changes/tasks you want to do.
Get excited - I’ve heard people say that you should start with the tough task first and once you’ve accomplished it, you are going to have a smooth ride ahead. However I feel the opposite is true for me. If I start with a small task, get it done & off my list, it excites & motivates me to move forward and get more done. Try it! Next time you make a list and you are not feeling motivated, accomplish 1 thing from that list. You’ll see the motivation coming back in!
If you ever feel discouraged remember Zig Ziglar’s quote - “People often say motivation doesn’t last. Well neither does bathing. That’s why we recommend it daily”!!Find your inspiration - Just like you are trying to be a better version of yourself in the new year, your brand and your boutique needs to be one too. Go back to the basics and ask yourself - Why did you start the boutique in the first place?
It’s funny how when you go back to the roots, not only can you analyse how far you’ve come or how much you’ve evolved but also re-align with the purpose your started with. This will help you find the inspiration/spark and put the energy into glowing your boutique.Break It Down - When you sit to work on a task don’t dive straight in. Take a moment and write the steps you need to take to complete the tasks & then begin; this will help you get out of struggle-vile and onto the road.
Take Action - It doesn’t have to be difficult or even time consuming. All you have to do is TAKE ACTION, focus on 1 task at a time & don’t jump the queue.
